Portrait of me.jpg

I work in my studio  in York and focus mainly on Linocuts although I do like to try out lots of printmaking techniques and also make collages from pieces of my prints. York and the Yorkshire countryside are sources of inspiration for my work as is my allotment and the wildlife that I see there.

I have been printmaking for about twenty years and taught myself to relief-print using just a few tools, lino, paper and ink. I was able to achieve satisfactory results just by working at the kitchen table.

Then I completed a degree in Fine Art at Leeds College of Art. It was here that I was introduced to printmaking using all of the facilities that a print studio had to offer.  Following this, I attended a Linocut workshop where I was introduced to the locally produced Hawthorn etching presses. I took the plunge, invested in a press and this was the real start of my printmaking journey.

I have exhibited my work at the York Open Studios over many years and I have work in local galleries. My work is also available to view and buy online.

All work is unframed unless stated. It packaged securely and sent via Royal Mail.

Rather than price my work on the website, I direct people to my Etsy shop.
